FORGING FOUNDATIONS

All men, all people,  must have something immovable they can rely on to weather the storms of life.

Faith in Jesus Christ, our cornerstone, creates the rock on which we can build upon.

For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. -  1 Corinthians 3:11

Why a Foundation on Christ?

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. - John 14:6

  • 11 “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."Romans 3:11-12

  • for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, - Romans 3:23

  • 16“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18

  •  9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. - Romans 10:9-10

At some point in your lifetime...

...you will be shaken to your core.

Without a strong foundation of faith, in a strength greater than yourself, you are likely to be carried away by the storm. Whether single, married, children or no children, a man needs to be well rooted to face all of the different temptations, storms, and challenges that will be faced in a lifetime. Distress, death, divorce, and more can cause us to flounder in despair. A foundation rooted in Christ can allow us to flourish and overcome any challenge life throws our way.

But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. - Job 23:10

Beyond the foundation of our faith, we can start to live our lives intentionally. In each moment we have we can choose to live with intent to help others, support our wives, family, church, employer, wherever we have found ourselves. In doing so we leave our future generations, our workplace, our churches, and even our world in a better place than when we started. No matter where you are on this arc of life, its NEVER too late to start making a positive impact.
